Your house isn’t the most expensive thing you’ll ever buy. Your government is. So shop around.

As various would-be thieves actively spin their lies vying for your vote on Nov 7th, promising to dispense your hard-earnt taxes into their pet projects, the above is timely advice for electoral shoppers.

That is the real danger of what Britain is doing. It isn’t merely that people resent paying tax. People have always resented paying tax. It’s that eventually the people who create the taxable wealth stop seeing the point in creating it.
