Knowing that underground cables and pipes usually litter road and rail corridors, just how does one miss a 12 inch diameter gas pipe during the preliminary survey? The area was surveyed, right?
And then attempt to drive a pile through it???
What's the betting no-one is responsible. It is probably only the local council performing at world class best.
