"deeply disappointed"

The party line reads:
"deeply disappointed that a candidate standing under its name is being prosecuted for alleged irregularities in enrolments for the local body elections"

The unsaid line is:

"deeply disappointed that a candidate standing under its name has been caught red-handed for alleged irregularities in enrolments for the local body elections"

The wording is interesting, PM. Not deeply disappointed that one of their number has been playing the corruption game again, but disappointed that they are being prosecuted. I guess that is disappointing for them - under the previous regime it would have been "not in the public interest" to pursue the prosecution.

GG, the Liarbour MO continues unabated. Proven so many times to be associated with corruption and fraud, but the driving party is never prosecuted.

OK PM - why then does Key not heed the call for NZ to establish its OWN INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION?

answer Sally, Key is one of them. Clark may have even hand picked him, it sure looks that way!
