A contagion that needs to be eradicated

The local body elections continue.

Wellington and Dunedin, both large cities, still have no result. You see they use the STV method of ranking their choices, not First Past the Post like all the other right thinking electorates.

STV sounds like something you would not want to catch. And you definitely do not. It is indeed a contagion, an unfortunate disease that could be eradicated with the stroke of a pen. In this world there is only one winner and the rest are losers.

A year ago I wrote a post, and maybe finally it is worth reading?

OK, with a line like that, you know I'm walking into a pithy comment...

Wellingtonians have a higher rate of STV

It was meant to be satirical.

Fantastic, ZT. That brought a smile. Definitely worth reading.

As per your post - "All prices includes GST". How appropriate, the ratepayer will pay.

I remain convinced the WLV voting system is the way to go.
