Back from Jafaland
Never saw so many roadworks in my life. About every 100m another set of 100-50/30-100kph complete with stop-go signs all the way from Napier to Orklund. And back. Stop start, never ending. Every road work gang in NZ must be hard at work on North Island roads.
Enough of that. Took the grand-kids out on Sunday to a venue of their choice.
The whole earth is the sepulchre of famous men
They are commemorated not only by columns and inscriptions in their own country but in foreign lands also by memorials graven not on stone but on the hearts of men
Where did we go?

The Keith Locke Insane Asylum?

Nice try Cadwallader. And I fully agree he should be locked up. In a straitjacket.
No, it was not the Oakley Hospital in Pt Chev.
But we did see Ronald in the flesh at the Pt Chev Golden Arches. The rugrats were well impressed when he sat down and talked to the birthday girl.
The war museum?
Well done HP. For those that care to look up as they enter from the cenotaph grounds out front, those words are engraved across the full width of the building.
And all the rugrats wanted to see was the stuffed elephant and a warplane.
I shouldn't have been so disrespectful.
