The Prime Minister and some MPs on a skiing holiday witnessed the sudden death of their young mountain guide this time yesterday afternoon.
Unfortunately, due to seriously inclement weather, an air ambulance was not immediately available.
After a busy week myself, today I have witnessed absolutely disgusting political points scoring going on in various blogs. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This was a sudden death and irrespective of who was in attendance this is a time for family grieving.
I take heart at the kind words expressed by Keeping Stock and likewise wish to offer my condolences to the family and friends.

Well said PM - and even the lovely lads at The Standard have had a go - a correspondent by the name of Tillerman ended his post praising the PM's "commitment to New Zealand" then smeared Key for daring to holiday at his "mansion in Hawaii". Tane has deleted the offending words.
I saw that and thought good post, given the circumstance, but ruined by the last line.
Of all commentary, I thought those at the Standard would not stoop to that level.
Some things should be beyond politics and you are right to point out this is one of them.
