biggest teacher union has overwhelmingly rejected the Government's $359 million education policy
93 per cent of teachers and principals voted "no confidence" in the policy
Really? As if there was any other expected outcome from union stiffs.
to start from scratch by genuinely consulting with the profession and parents about how to spend the $359 million
If Johnny Boy gets in again, just take the $400M away. After all, they've just said they don't need it.
At least the bastards aren't running the country. Yet.

No way in hell. This is a declaration of war by the teacher unions against the government. No doubt the nurses will declare too in a couple of weeks.
When Key wins (hopefully with ACT+Conservatives) he should take the parliament into urgency, ban the teacher unions, ban any unionists or ex-unionst from teaching or receiving any state benefits, confiscate the union's assets, and while he's at it - charterize all the state schools and replace them with vouchers usable at all private schools.
When you're the government, you don't take your toys and run away - you hit back hard, fast, aiming to wipe out your enemies rather than let the hang around to fester.
It's what Cam would do.
+1000 Angry Tory. I've been waiting 6 years for John Boy to stop wasting political capital. Unfortunately the only discernible difference is that the Nats have blue frames for their rose coloured glasses.
