Absolutely no!

A guest writer seemingly endorses usage of pidgin Maori in English communications here

A good read with arguments either way.  One of the best I have ever seen.

The status quo for many:

Use of Maori to non-Maori is so rarely as innocent as you state. Expect push back because of this

Why on earth would someone start a letter Kia Ora Cassandra, write me a page of English and end it with Nga mihi if he wasn’t virtue signalling

while I am quite aware of Nga mihi nui, Kia ora, etc I won’t be joining you in sprinkling them into my language

and:

Use one language or the other.

If it’s fully in moari, I won’t bother with it.

If it’s in manglish, I stop reading at the first moari word, and that includes “a tee rower”.

Summarising (wholly endorsed) via Cassandra:

And I end with the same reply: you’re advocating NZ pijin. No!
