I'm not sure I see the relationship here. I'm far far right but don't identify with Israel on the basis its the promised land etc... Neither do I identify with Islam which in its extreme form is thuggish and violent. Hard liners on both sides are pretty awful which is pretty normal and, as is usual, reasonable people are stuck in the middle.

This vote doesn't legitimise anything nasty and the Palestinians won't get statehood any time soon. Its a non event and Israel will do what it needs to.
